AUSTIN – Consumers who suffered property damage as a result of the recent severe weather should contact their insurance companies as soon as possible to begin the claims process. If you’re having trouble reaching your company, call the Texas Department of Insurance at 1-800-252-3439. Insurance specialists are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to answer your insurance questions and to help you with company contact information.

Regional Workplace Safety Summit Offered June 17 in Houston
AUSTIN, TX — The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) will present a regional workplace safety workshop for employers and employees on June 17, 2015 at the Lone Star College System at 5000 Research Forest Drive in The Woodlands. The Houston Regional Safety Summit is one of several Regional Safety Summits offered by the DWC around the state. The seminar will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $50 per person and includes coffee and snacks.
