3 steps to getting an amusement ride compliance sticker
According to Texas law, every amusement ride must display a compliance sticker. To get a compliance sticker for a ride you own, follow these three steps.
1. Get insurance
Your ride must have liability insurance to cover any injuries your passengers may obtain. Here is a list of carriers who write this type of coverage.
2. Get an inspection
We do not employ or appoint inspectors; you’ll need to hire an inspector that your insurance company approves. Contact your carrier for a list of inspectors that work in Texas.
Amusement ride reports that Texas Department of Insurance provides:
TDI updates reports, including the accident/injury report, the current amusement ride compliance sticker report, and the insurance policies in force report, at a minimum of once a month, on the last Friday of the month. If you are an owner/operator with a recent change in your compliance sticker or insurance policy status, you can request that we update before the next scheduled monthly update.
