Texas employers that do not provide workers' compensation coverage must file DWC Form-005, Employer Notice of No Coverage or Termination of Coverage, every year between February 1 and April 30.

Research group releases AMA Guides Study

The Workers' Compensation Research and Evaluation Group releases a new report comparing impairment ratings assigned by doctors using the fourth and sixth editions of the American Medical Association "Guides to Evaluation of Permanent Impairment" (AMA Guides). Doctors in the Texas workers' compensation system currently use the AMA Guides Fourth Edition, 1993. Want to learn more? Read the report snapshot.
