Continuing education credits
- Create an account on the Sircon website to:
- Find courses and providers.
- View your transcript.
- To keep your license in good standing, you must take 10 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years.
- To see what Texas CE courses you need, go to the Sircon website and click on “Continuing Education Transcript Inquiry.”
- Two hours must be in ethics/consumer protection. To find a course, go to the Sircon website, click on “Approved Courses Inquiry,” and find “Ethics” in the category column.
- At least half your CE hours must be earned in a classroom or classroom equivalent, such as a webinar course. Always check the instruction method before you sign up.
- Some insurance-related courses offered by a state bar, board of public accountancy, or accredited college, law school, or university may count as CE credit. Use our Title CE credit request form to see if you qualify.
- Complete all CE hours by your license expiration date. You won't be able to renew your license until your continuing education is complete. Check the expiration date on your CE transcript on Sircon.
- If you had an illness, medical disability, or other extenuating circumstances that prevented you from completing required training, you may qualify for a continuing education exemption. Use our Application for CE Extension/Exemption to see if you qualify.
