DWC introduces new continuing education webinars

CompCourses - Introducing our new continuing education webinars

In a fast-paced and ever evolving professional landscape, the need for continuous learning cannot be overstated. DWC is excited to introduce CompCourses, a series of webinars to help you keep up with the latest information and trends whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to the world of workers’ compensation.

“One of the key incentives for participating in our free CompCourses is the opportunity for participants to earn continuing education credits,” says Texas Workers’ Compensation Commissioner Jeff Nelson. “We hope this online format will allow professionals from across the state to participate and learn more about the workers’ compensation system directly from the regulator without the need for extensive travel.”

CompCourses will offer quarterly webinars through Zoom starting Feb. 21, 2024, with topics ranging from how to calculate wage statements to the development of successful return to work strategies for injured employees.

Joining our webinars is simple and user-friendly. Just sign up for our emails and each quarter we’ll send an invitation to register for an upcoming webinar. If you can’t attend a session in real-time for continuing education credit, webinar recordings will still be available for viewing at any time on our CompCourses webpage.

Part of DWC’s core mission is to educate system participants. with learning opportunities that improve the overall landscape of workers’ compensation in Texas. We hope you enjoy these educational opportunities, and we look forward to your feedback in the post-webinar surveys.
