Opportunities and vacancies

We are accepting applications for the following board and committee positions:

• Texas FAIR Plan Association Governing Committee - Applications due March 24, 2026.
  • One insurer member position. (To qualify, the applicant must be a full-time employee of an insurer who is a member of the FAIR Plan Association, writing residential property coverage in Texas.)
• Texas Automobile Insurance Plan Association (TAIPA) Governing Committee - Applications due March 24, 2026.
  • One producer member position. (To qualify, the applicant must be a licensed general lines or personal lines property and casualty agent.)
  • One public member position. All applications received will be forwarded to OPIC for nomination (required per statute). (To qualify, the applicant must not be an officer, director, or employee of an insurer, insurance agency, agent, broker, adjuster, or any other business entity regulated by TDI.)
• Texas Property and Casualty Guaranty Association Board of Directors - Applications due March 24, 2026.
  • One industry member position. (To qualify, the applicant must be a full-time employee of an insurer who is a member of TPCIGA.)
• Texas Life and Health Guaranty Association Board of Directors - Applications due March 24, 2026.
  • One public member position. (To qualify, the applicant must not be an officer, director, or employee of an insurer, insurance agency, agent, broker, adjuster, or any other business entity regulated by TDI.)
• Texas Title Insurance Guaranty Association Board of Directors - Applications due March 24, 2026. 
  • Two public member position. (To qualify, the applicant must not be an officer, director, or employee of an insurer, insurance agency, agent, broker, adjuster, or any other business entity regulated by TDI.)
  • One title insurer member position.  
• Standard Request Form for Prior Authorization of Prescription Drug Benefits Advisory Committee
  
  • One health benefit plan networks of providers position.

Application process

1. An appointment application is required for consideration of any candidate seeking appointment by the Commissioner.
2. Send completed application to Government Relations via email to GovernmentRelations@tdi.texas.gov.
3. Your name will then be entered into the board and committee appointment system for further review. You may be contacted for a candidate interview as a part of this review process. 
4. The background and qualifications of all applicants are reviewed with respect to the purpose, composition, and statutory requirements of the board and committee of interest.
5. Commissioner appointment letters are sent to all candidates selected for appointment.
