Re:   Credit Data Call – 2017 Credit Life and Credit Accident and Health Insurance


Reporting Period:     January 1, 2017, to December 31, 2017

The Texas Department of Insurance regulates credit insurance operations in Texas and is authorized to collect experience and expense data about credit life and credit accident and credit health insurance. (Insurance Code Chapter 1153 and Texas Administrative Code, Title 28, Sections 3.5701 and 3.5702.) Under this authority the department issues a data call for the 2017 credit life and credit accident and credit health insurance information. The data call consists of a company information section, experience reports, and an actuarial certification.

Applicability

The credit data call requires information from insurance companies on credit life and credit accident and credit health insurance in force or written in Texas on loans or other credit transactions of 120 months or less.

Submission Requirements

Respondents must complete the 2017 credit life and credit accident and health insurance data call using the online interactive PDF form LAH001, located at www.tdi.texas.gov/health/creditcallindex.html. This link contains instructions and other information about the data call. Submissions are due to TDI by the close of business on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.
