In accordance with the Insurance Code, Section 542.059, and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on May 27, 2005 through June 1, 2005, in the counties of Anderson, Angelina, Aransas, Armstrong, Austin, Bailey, Bandera, Bee, Bell, Bexar, Blanco, Borden, Brazoria, Brewster, Briscoe, Burnet, Calhoun, Callahan, Cameron, Carson, Castro, Chambers, Cochran, Coke, Coleman, Colorado, Comal, Concho, Coryell, Crockett, Crosby, De Witt, Deaf Smith, Dickens, Edwards, El Paso, Falls, Fisher, Floyd, Fort Bend, Freestone, Galveston, Garza, Gillespie, Goliad, Hale, Hardin, Harris, Haskell, Hays, Hidalgo, Hockley, Houston, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jim Wells, Jones, Karnes, Kendall, Kenedy, Kent, Kerr, Kimble, King, Kleberg, Knox, La Salle, Lamb, Lampasas, Lavaca, Leon, Liberty, Limestone, Live Oak, Llano, Lubbock, Lynn, Madison, Mason, Matagorda, McCulloch, McLennan, McMullen, Medina, Menard, Milam, Mitchell, Montgomery, Moore, Motley, Newton, Nolan, Nueces, Orange, Parmer, Pecos, Polk, Potter, Randall, Refugio, Robertson, Runnels, San Jacinto, San Patricio, San Saba, Schleicher, Scurry, Shackelford, Starr, Sterling, Stonewall, Sutton, Swisher, Tarrant, Taylor, Terrell, Terry, Throckmorton, Tom Green, Travis, Trinity, Tyler, Victoria, Walker, Waller, Wharton, Wilbarger, Willacy, Williamson, and Zapata are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Section 542.059, Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
