Effective April 6, 2002, the Commissioner of Insurance by Commissioner's Order No. 02-0208 adopted three new residential property policy forms which include form no. FP-7955 TX (homeowners policy form), form no. FP-7954 TX (renters policy), and form no. FP-7956 TX (condominium unit owners policy) filed by State Farm Fire and Casualty Company, State Farm General Insurance Company, and State Farm Lloyds (collectively referred to as State Farm) and further has adopted thirty-six new endorsements that may be attached to the new residential property policy forms for use in the State of Texas.
Effective June 15, 2002, the Commissioner of Insurance by Commissioner's Order No. 02-0523 adopted two new residential property policy forms which include form no. HO-3RTX (homeowners policy form), and form no. HO-6RTX (condominium unit owners policy) filed by United States Automobile Association and USAA Lloyds (collectively referred to as USAA) and further has adopted fifty-one new endorsements that may be attached to the new residential property policy forms for use in the State of Texas.
Other Insurers Who Elect to Use the State Farm or USAA Residential Property Policy Forms and Endorsements. Pursuant to Article 5.35, an insurer that wishes to use the adopted policy forms and endorsements must make a filing for approval with the Texas Department of Insurance and agree to abide by the conditions and requirements imposed by the applicable adoption orders relating to rating information, water damage coverage, foundation coverage, and mold coverage.
