Re:   MODEL YEAR RELATIVITIES FOR AUTOMOBILE PHYSICAL DAMAGE INSURANCE

The Texas Automobile Rules and Rating Manual currently contains physical damage insurance model year rating factors only through the 1999 model year. Insurers have inquired as to what factors should be used for rating model year 2000 vehicles. Based on the existing rating approach, an increment of 0.04 should be added to the 1999 model year relativities, producing model year 2000 relativities of 1.08 for both collision, comprehensive and specified cause of loss insurance.
