In accordance with the Insurance Code, Section 542.059, and 28 TAC 5.9303, the Texas Department of Insurance has determined the weather-related events occurring on April 8, 2008 through April 10, 2008, in the counties of Bell, Bowie, Brown, Callahan, Camp, Carson, Cass, Childress, Coleman, Collin, Comanche, Cooke, Coryell, Cottle, Crosby, Dallas, Deaf Smith, Delta, Denton, Dickens, Donley, Eastland, Ector, Ellis, Erath, Fisher, Foard, Freestone, Glasscock, Gray, Grayson, Gregg, Hamilton, Haskell, Hill, Hood, Howard, Hunt, Johnson, Jones, Kaufman, Kent, King, Lamar, Lampasas, Llano, Lubbock, Marion, Martin, McCulloch, McLennan, Midland, Mitchell, Navarro, Nolan, Palo Pinto, Parker, Pecos, Randall, Reagan, Red River, Scurry, Shackelford, Smith, Somervell, Stephens, Swisher, Tarrant, Taylor, Tom Green, Upshur, Upton, Van Zandt, Wichita, Wilbarger, Wise, and Wood are a catastrophe for the purpose of claims processing.
Claims resulting directly from the above-defined catastrophe in the counties listed above shall be subject to the additional time periods allowed by Section 542.059, Texas Insurance Code for the processing of claims.
