To attend, the student must understand and communicate in the language of the course.
The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) offers low-cost Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction classes in English and Spanish. The OSHA 30-Hour class offers an interactive class participation through in-person or online instruction. The five-day in-person or eight-day online courses are presented by authorized instructors and designed to instruct employers and their employees in the essentials of occupational safety and health in construction. This includes OSHA standards and requirements, and safety awareness to help find and reduce job-site hazards and risks.
Those who complete the course receive an OSHA 30-Hour Construction course completion card within eight weeks.
As Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) bid on projects in Texas, we want to make sure they have the training to be successful and safe on the job. DWC has partnered with Texas Facilities Commission (TFC) to offer this same 30-hour OSHA training to small business owners.
A week before the class we will email you to confirm your attendance and to provide the link to register for access to Zoom. It is very important that you save this email with the link so that you can access class each day of training.
