Safety Information Systems
Safety Information Systems (SIS) provides occupational injury, illness, and fatality data to safety professionals and policy makers to target interventions for the prevention of workplace accidents.
The section works with both state and federal agencies to collect and analyze data, including the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), the National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH), and the Texas Department of Health.
