How To Update Your Rulebook
A hard copy of the Workers' Compensation Act and all Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation (TDI-DWC) rules can be purchased from the TDI-DWC Publications section or can be printed from this website. To keep hard copy rulebooks updated with the most current rules, directions on where to find new and amended rules will be published on the website as a supplement.
The supplements will be identified by a number reflecting the year and the number of supplements for that year. Generally, the supplements will be published prior to the rule(s) becoming effective, but the effective date for each rule will be listed. You will be instructed to replace the full chapter in which changes occur.
To update your rule book:
Determine the supplement(s) containing rules adopted since the last update of your rulebook.
Click on the chapter number that contains new or amended rules.
Print the chapter on letter-size paper (8 ½ " x 11"). It is recommended that you set the print option to duplex or that you make a two-sided copy of the chapter. This will reduce the number of pages and make it easier to fit all the rules into a 3-ring binder.
Remove the old version of the chapter from your rulebook and replace it with the new one. Do this for each chapter listed.
If a "table of contents" is listed under the supplement number, click on it to download and print the updated table of contents. Remove the old version of the table of contents and replace it with the new one.

It is recommended that you set the print option to duplex or that you make a two-sided copy of each chapter.
