ACCIDENT PREVENTION SERVICES, CHAPTER 166 RULES
The Texas Workers' Compensation Commission has recently adopted new Chapter 166, Workers' Health and Safety, Accident Prevention Services rules. Among other things, these rules consolidate the previous Accident Prevention Services rules, update references to the Labor Code and revise elements of the rules pertaining to frequency and types of service insurance companies must provide to their policyholders. The statutory authority for the rules is effective September 1, 1995, and failure to comply with the new requirements may result in the issuance of a Notice of Administrative Violations.
In an effort to assist the transition to the new requirements, the Commission is offering three training sessions to explain changes in the rules, implementation plans and enforcement matters. The September and November sessions will follow Approved Professional Source seminars and will be free of change. The schedule of sessions is :
- September 20, 1995 at 3:30 p.m. Clarion Hotel, 1241 W. Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, Texas, (214) 630-7000.
