Compliance and Investigations includes the following areas:

These areas work together to promote compliance in the Texas workers’ compensation system by
  • promptly detecting and addressing acts or practices of noncompliance,
  • promoting compliance with the Texas Workers’ Compensation Act and rules through performance-based incentives,
  • promoting communication between system participants, and
  • educating system participants of compliance requirements.

System complaint and performance

Workers' compensation system and individual insurance carrier performance scorecards provide with year-to date information related to complaints, initial temporary income benefit (TIBs) payments paid and reported timely, as well as, medical bills and reconsideration medical bills processed and reported timely.

DWC Form-029, Request for Standard Detailed Data Reports 

Insurance carriers, including certified self-insurers, certified self-insurer groups, and governmental entities, may submit DWC Form-029, Request for Standard Detailed Data Reports to ask for claim-level data they have already submitted to DWC. The data will be made available to them or another entity on their behalf through a secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) box.
