Pair Pleads Guilty to Forging Insurance Documents

HOUSTON - Arthur and Michelle Lockett of Houston pled guilty today to felony criminal charges related to forging disability insurance documents in a Harris County district court.

The pair forged the signatures of medical professionals on insurance forms in order to receive payments, said Jesse McClure, a Texas Department of Insurance prosecutor who assisted the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in the case.

Arthur Lockett pled guilty to Forgery of a Commercial Insurance Instrument and was ordered to pay $36,500 in restitution. Michelle Lockett pled guilty to Securing Execution of a Document by Deception and was ordered to pay $44,800 in restitution. The court also ordered each of the defendants to be placed on community supervision for five years.
