Regional Workplace Safety Summit Offered March 25th in San Antonio
AUSTIN, TX — The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) will present the first in a new series of regional workplace safety workshops for employers and employees on March 25, 2015 at the Region 20 Education Service Center at 1314 Hines in San Antonio. The San Antonio Regional Safety Summit is one of several Regional Safety Summits offered by the DWC around the state in the coming year. The seminar will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $50 per person and includes coffee and snacks.

Division of Workers’ Compensation Recovers More than $500,000 Owed to Injured Employees and Beneficiaries
AUSTIN, TX –The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) conducted performance audits of several insurance carriers on the accuracy of payments of Lifetime Income Benefits (LIBs) and Death Benefits (DBs). Through these audits, DWC discovered underpayments on 64 claims totaling over $511,000.
