Life Settlements
Effective September 1, 2011, House Bill 2277 imposed new statutory requirements on the business of life settlements. Please read Bulletin B0036-11 for more information. We are NOT ACCEPTING RENEWALS and are only issuing TEMPORARY licenses until the administrative rule is formally adopted and becomes effective. There is no fee associated with a temporary license. Once the rule becomes effective, all licensees must submit new form FIN430, or FIN432 within 30 days to maintain an active license. Links to these forms are located below. Applications will be processed as staff is able; please note this will take time and licensees are still authorized to conduct business as long as the application is submitted within the 30-day window after the rule effective date. For further questions, contact Christine Browning at (512) 475-1994 or Christine.Browning@tdi.texas.gov.
