Manage Your Licenses
Texas agents and adjusters can now view their current CE credits, update their e-mail address, request a letter of certification, renew or apply for their license and find their Texas license number or National Producer number at "Agent/Adjuster Electronic Licensing Services" link. Agent/adjusters can also activate a free ProducerEDGE account allowing them to manage their licenses with ease.
The Licensing Division is responsible for the licensing and regulation of persons who wish to sell insurance or adjust property-casualty claims in the state of Texas.
At the end of August, 2010, there were 421,502 agents, agencies, and adjusters licensed.
The Division processes license applications, renews licenses, registers appointments of agents by insurers, and regulates continuing education for licensees.
CONTINUING EDUCATION COURTESY NOTICES:
The Texas Department of Insurance Agent and Adjuster Licensing Division is enhancing efforts to ensure that licensed persons are able to meet their required continuing education (CE) obligations under Texas Insurance Code Chapter 4004. Postcard notifications will be mailed out to license holders prior to their deadline to remind each agent that they may have additional CE hours to complete. Notices will be mailed out to the licensee's last known mailing address.

- Processing Dates - Licensing Division processes filings of applications, renewals, appointments and certifications in date received order. You can check the date staff is working on at this time. This information is usually updated on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week, about 11 AM, Central Time.
