Re:   Electronic Licenses

The Texas Department of Insurance issues this bulletin to inform the above-mentioned license holders that, as of January 16, 2015, they will have the ability to print their own licenses.  Beginning March 1, 2015, TDI will discontinue sending licenses to licensees by regular mail.

Licensees will be able to print their licenses from two online sources:  Compliance Express at www.sircon.com/Texas and Producer Edge at https://www.sircon.com/produceredge/.  Producer Edge is a free online product available to license holders that allows them to conduct various license-related functions, such as tracking continuing education compliance and printing licenses, among other tasks.

Individuals applying for or renewing a license can check the status of their application or renewal on Compliance Express or Producer Edge.

If a licensee applies for or renews a license through the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR), Texas.gov, or by paper, that individual may print the license through Producer Edge for free or through Compliance Express for a $5.00 fee.  If the licensee chooses to print the license through Compliance Express, he or she may print additional copies of the license for 30 days after the fee is paid for no additional charge.

If a licensee applies for or renews a license through Compliance Express, that individual may also print the license for free through Producer Edge or on Compliance Express for 30 days after the date the application was approved.  If the licensee chooses to print the license through Compliance Express after the initial period, the licensee must pay a $5.00 fee to print the license, which entitles him or her to print additional copies of the license for 30 days after that for no additional charge.

If you have any questions regarding this bulletin, please contact the TDI Agent and Adjuster Licensing Office by email at: licensing@tdi.texas.gov or by telephone at 512-676-6500.
