Exam

You do not need to take an exam for an emergency adjuster license.

Fingerprint background check

You do not need to get a fingerprint background check for an emergency adjuster license.

Application

  • You can apply for a 90-day emergency adjuster license during a disaster.
  • You must be sponsored by:
    • Another person or business that has an active Texas adjuster license.

      or

    • An insurance company licensed in Texas and in good standing.
  • You must apply online by using Sircon.
    • If you live in Texas (resident), click on the “New Adjuster License” button on the Sircon website.
    • If you don’t live in Texas (non-resident), click on the “Other Licenses” button on the Sircon website.
  • The application fee is $20.

Non-resident license

  • If you have an active license in good standing in your resident state or a designated home state:
    • You can apply for a non-resident license using Sircon.
    • The application fee is $50.
  • If you are not licensed in your resident state or a designated home state:
    • You can apply for a non-resident emergency license if there is a Texas catastrophe and you have a sponsor. You can apply using Sircon.
    • The application fee is $20.

Provisional permit

A provisional permit is not offered for an emergency adjuster license.
